Chairman’s Message
For those of you who are reading this article for the first time at NATE 2004, on behalf of the entire Board of Directors, welcome to the show! The annual NATE event has become a standing tradition for a wide variety of tower professionals to assemble and be educated as well as to network and spend some relaxing time getting to know each other. I hope your experience at this year’s show will be as interesting and beneficial as has been true with the terrific shows in the past.
This marks the ninth year of existence for our strong and vibrant association. The industry has seen a lot of change over the last nine years. Some of our member companies were not in existence when we held the first NATE meeting in Dallas in 1995. But thanks to your wisdom and foresight, you are all members of the Association today making us nearly 500 members strong. What an accomplishment for such a relatively small industry in such a short amount of time! You are to be commended for being a part of this elite group of tower professionals.
NATE may not appeal to every tower service company in the country, but we count the best in the business as members of this great Association. I believe those that belong to NATE are the crème de la crème of tower companies. For those of you who are not yet members of NATE, we invite you to climb aboard! We think you’ll agree that the investment is well worth it.
Once again, I want to thank you all for being part of NATE. I want to particularly thank the many volunteers on the Board of Directors and committees for their selfless efforts to make this industry a better place to do business and a safer environment for tower workers across the country. You should know that your efforts do not go unnoticed. Also, a big thank you goes out to the vendors who make the show so much more interesting and enjoyable for those who attend. I hope you find NATE 2004 equally as successful as previous NATE shows.
