The NATE 2004 Conference is history and I said hello to as many new and old members as I could. I trust that everyone who just attended the NATE 2004 conference in Nashville was pleased by what you learned, who you finally met and the ideas you took back to your business to implement into your employees’ working procedures. Our shop always benefits from the Annual Conference!

But, as depressing as winter can be and as the slow tower economy barely ebbs forward, it may be difficult to keep your disheartened eye on the big picture. (Yikes, this sounds like the beginning of a boring novel.)

Remember, NATE was formed for the long haul and with the best of our combined conscientious efforts. Anybody that has been riding the roller coaster of life long enough knows that the good times come and go. The NATE Committees, Jim Goldwater and our NATE office personnel are constantly making huge improvements for you and our industry behind the scene, and I want to thank them all.

Look closely into your business past and you can clearly see the changes and improvements that NATE has made in the industry which I am certain you are some way employing in your procedures today. Don't scoff at these seemingly difficult to embrace changes, because these are the strides that continue to save our employees’ lives and your businesses. Our employees are what makes the tower service companies hum. They are worth every dollar invested in them and their safety.

Hopefully those non-members that attended the NATE 2004 conference have found an association that they can join, relate to and improve their shops with.

We are proud of the members we have and invite those to join who are sitting on the sidelines watching and wondering if they fit in. At one time we were all where non-members are now. We started with nothing but a good idea which is still blossoming and you are all welcome to join. We will assist you in coming up to speed with all of the items required to be compliant in today’s tower service business world. Don't let this invitation pass you by another year.
