From the NATE Office
Thank you to all NATE members who were involved in the NATE 2004 Conference & Exposition in Nashville! NATE 2004 was another great success, but we all know the show cannot go on without you; so to all of you who attended, thanks for making another great show come to life.

On behalf of NATE, I want to extend a special thank you to the many sponsors of NATE 2004. Your generosity is remarkable, and your sponsorship is vital to holding such a phenomenal event. Thank you all very much.

NATE 2004 also included a great line-up of exhibitors who also are integral to the success of the event. Somehow the trade show becomes more impressive each year as NATE’s exhibitors strive to new heights of excellence. NATE deeply appreciates your annual involvement and your commitment to a successful event.

This year’s annual event featured a fantastic group of individuals involved in the educational sessions who deserve NATE’s gratitude for their contributions. Also, the return of David Litchford as the keynote speaker again brought smiles and laughter to the event. Thank you also.

And last, but certainly not least, the hard work of the NATE Trade Show Committee, Board of Directors, all NATE Committee Members and the NATE Staff once again exceeded expectations. All of these groups went above and beyond the substantial demands placed on them to ensure a successful event. Thank you all very much.

NATE’s impact on the industry was never more evident than in discussions and meetings held during the annual conference and exposition. State and federal regulators are in the process of developing tower erection standards that will affect the way every tower service company in this country does business. Because of NATE’s hard work over the last nine years, tower erectors are a part of those processes.

How important is this? It is crucial. The continual determination and vision of NATE members has positioned the Association to bring the voice of tower erectors to the table before new regulations are put in place. Without NATE, the best practices that define and address safety issues would not exist. Tower erectors would not be part of this process.

But NATE is here, and because of that, tower erectors are not only involved, but have a leadership role in the policies that will affect their businesses every day. NATE members should be extremely proud of the impact their involvement in the Association is having. You are making a difference.

Beyond these federal regulations, from NATE’s efforts to develop the standard to which climbers are trained, to the ongoing discussions to expand the partnership to the national level, NATE is making a bigger difference than ever before, which is an impressive statement, given the many successes NATE has had over the years.

All of this success comes down to you, the loyal member who is involved every year. From your decision to pay another year’s dues to your involvement in NATE programs; attending the annual event; participating on committees or the Board of Directors; being an exhibitor at the annual trade show; sponsoring the annual conference and exposition or any of the other ways you can be involved, NATE is succeeding because of you.

Thank you to all NATE member companies for your involvement in shaping the industry, promoting safety, and giving a voice to tower erectors as federal regulations are being developed. You should be proud of what you have accomplished.
