Membership Committee Update
First of all I would like to add my personal welcome to the new members of the NATE family:

It has always been interesting to me the way chance events, and the people with whom we cross paths, help to shape our lives. Further, I find it surprising that many of the people we interact with in our professional lives may become part of our personal lives as well. Relationships forged through business partnerships, working with our vendors, and in some cases, even relationships formed with those to whom we seek to provide products and services can evolve into friendships.
In my opinion, those of us who are successful in raising some business relationships to a more personal level stand to gain greatly. Simply being able to comfortably share ideas, experiences, successes and even failures with others of similar mindset and priority can be beneficial.
In our industry, for instance, the exchange of ideas and expertise in an area such as safety in the workplace can benefit everyone involved. Conversation and interaction with our peers can, from time to time, allow us to find those with whom we are comfortable forming alliances, casual partnerships which allow us to work together on projects beneficial to both parties.
Of course, these relationships are much more likely to be formed through membership in an organization which provides the opportunity to interact with others in our industry. NATE is such an organization. NATE offers an almost unique forum by which we have the opportunity to meet and interact with many who can impact our lives in a very positive way.
As we are all aware, there are many more advantages to being a member of the NATE family. If you know of other companies who you believe could benefit from NATE membership, visit with them and point out how your membership has impacted your business. You may wish to pass the information along to one of the members of this committee. We would be happy to call and introduce NATE to any perspective new members.
