From the NATE Office
Many of you will be reading this issue of Tower Times at the 10th Annual NATE Conference & Exposition in Dallas. For all of you attending NATE’s celebration of “A Decade of Diligence”, welcome to NATE 2005!
Again this year NATE members are together to conduct business, attend outstanding educational sessions, and view the best products and services available for our industry. These four days will again pass quickly as we renew old friendships, establish new ones, and network among the individuals dedicated to improving this industry. Make sure and take advantage of this time we have together.
This year’s annual event would not be possible without the remarkable underwriting support of the NATE 2005 sponsors including our Gold Sponsors, AIG, Valmont Structures, and Andrew. All of this year’s sponsors have demonstrated tremendous dedication to this event through their support. To all of you, thank you for making this event possible. For a complete list of NATE sponsors, please see page 27 of this Tower Times.
The trade show floor will once again be occupied by the most respected and recognized names in the industry. Please take advantage of the trade show hours and seek out the vendors who have the products and services you need. Almost all of these companies support NATE not only through exhibiting at this event, but also through membership and involvement in numerous ways. While you are on the show floor, I encourage you to thank this year’s exhibitors for their involvement in NATE.
There can be no show, of course, without the attendees. Whether you are loyal NATE members who return year-after-year or are here for the first time, you are fueling NATE’s ability to be present when the industry needs a voice as we saw happen so many times in 2004. Thank you for keeping your association so strong.
I cannot say enough about the hard work the NATE Trade Show Committee has again put forth in making NATE 2005 a reality. Their guidance and insight continue to be a crucial component of each year’s successful show. Of course, the NATE Board of Directors and all of the Committees are to be commended for their role in keeping NATE active and vital throughout the year. NATE depends so heavily on the spirit of volunteerism for success, and all of you who are involved continue to help NATE reach for greater heights each year.
And finally, putting together a national event of this caliber requires faithfully tending to hundreds-and-hundreds of decisions each year. NATE 2005, like each year’s show, is one example of the endless duties handled with expertise and professionalism by Paula Nurnberg, Carol Coughlin, Deb Moldenhauer, Shelly Trego, Corene Iverson and this year, Jodi Messerli, of the NATE staff. To those I am so fortunate to work with every day, from the bottom of my heart, I say Thank You for all you do. You are simply the best.
Enjoy your time at NATE 2005. As you participate in this year’s event, remember that among all positive, individual components that make up the annual event, there is one large collective success – what we can accomplish together. Thank you all for another great year for NATE.
